In materials science, electron microscopy analysis, energy materials, optoelectronic devices, and functional thin-film research, vacuum coating systems are no longer merely auxiliary laboratory tools. They have become a critical part of the workflow, directly influencing sample quality, data stability, and the pace of R&D.



For SEM users, the value of coating is straightforward: it helps reduce charging effects on non-conductive or weakly conductive samples under high vacuum and high magnification, enabling clearer, more stable, and more reproducible imaging. The positioning of the VPI SD-900M should go beyond simply saying it can deposit gold or platinum. It should emphasize how the system fits naturally into routine laboratory workflows: load the sample, evacuate the chamber, set coating time and current, complete conductive thin-film deposition, and proceed to SEM observation.
